Spring Intramural (In-House) Baseball Program - HYA’s Intramural Baseball Program consists of three (3) separate levels: Pony (equivalent of tee-ball), Minors (coach-pitch) and Majors (“kid-pitch”).  These levels are designed for children ages 4 through 10 either not eligible for HYA’s travel baseball program because of their age or because they were not selected for a travel team. Season begins early April and runs through mid June. Practices start in early April. Generally, Minors and Majors will have two (2-3) events per week, which may be on any weeknight or on Saturday, consisting of two (1-2) practices, two (1-2) games, or some combination thereof. Our Pony level will generally have one (1) practice and one game per week. Generally, the Pony practices are scheduled for a weeknight, with the games on Saturday mornings. There will be evaluations for all players that register to play in the Majors level. Evaluations are strongly recommended, but not required to be placed on a team. (see below for more information).

If your child has a deeper drive to play more competitive baseball, we recommend they try out for our 10U travel baseball program.    Our travel teams play against other local teams in the county.  Note: travel registration ends early January with tryouts two weeks later, so sign up early.  If your child does not make a team, they will be placed on a Majors team and the difference in the registration fee will be refunded to you.

The success of our baseball program is dependent on parent/guardian participation so please consider helping!  We are always in need of Head Coaches, Assistant coaches, or just some willing hands for a few practices. 


NOTE: Space is limited and registration may close early depending on participation.  Please do not wait until the last minute to register!

Mandatory Fund-raising Obligations: 

• This year, HYA is replacing the annual lottery calendar fundraiser with a new cash raffle. Each player pays a $50 fundraising fee at the time of registration, which covers the cost of five raffle tickets. Families may sell these tickets to friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers, etc. Any money collected through ticket sales is yours to retain.
• Players will receive their raffle tickets in March/April after registration closes.
• Raffle will take place on June 20, 2026.
• Multiple Cash prizes available - with the grand prize up to $1,000!
