The goal of the HYA Baseball Program is to provide a positive playing experience through teaching sound fundamentals, sportsmanship, confidence and teamwork throughout the various age levels.

Hempfield Baseball School Team (17U Midgets) - 2026

Lancaster County Midget Baseball League (Varsity School League Team) (17U)

HYA, in cooperation with the high school program, will field as many teams as field space will allow. Players in the school league will be placed on teams by the high school coaching staff.

This team and league require the same levels of commitment as a regular high school season. Games are typically played during the week on Tuesday and Thursdays against schools from the Lancaster Lebanon League and our home field is Hempfield High School JV and Varsity Fields. Practices will be scheduled by the coaching staff in between games.

The league starts as the regular high school league season ends at the end of May or the beginning of June and can be pushed back by high school post season play .The LNP tournament at Penn Medicine Park is tentatively scheduled for July 12 - 14. Please place this on your calendar and plan accordingly.
