THE INFORMATION BELOW DOES NOT APPLY TO THE FALL BASEBALL SEASON

Majors (Ages 7 to 10) Birthday must fall between 5/1/13 - 4/30/17
 - Intramural baseball against other Hempfield Youth Association teams. Kids pitch to each other in this league. This age group will generally be for kids within the age bracket that have more developed baseball skills.  If your child is 7 or 8 and has not played baseball before, we recommend playing a year in the Minors (coach pitch) first.

There will be at least 1 to 2 practices during the week from 6pm to 7:30pm.  Practice schedules are determined by the head coach of each team.  There will be 1 or 2 games each week.  Weekday games will be from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday games will begin at 9am or 11am.  All games and practices will be at the ball fields at Centerville Middle School along Centerville Road.  Season begins early April and runs through the beginning of June.

If your son has a deeper drive to play more competitive baseball, we recommend they try out for our 10U travel baseball program.    Our travel teams play against other local teams in the county.  Note: travel registration for the spring season ends early January with tryouts two weeks later, so sign up early.  If your child does not make the cut, he will be placed on a Majors team and the difference in the registration fee will be refunded to you.

Fundraising obligations may be satisfied by selecting one of the following options (per player):

Each ticket is $10.  Money is pooled together with winning numbers drawn throughout the month of May.   NOTE: You can request additional lottery calendars for sale in groups of five (5). . PLEASE NOTE HYA WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF UNSOLD LOTTERY CALENDARS. This applies also to booklets of extra calendars, if requested by the player, OR

*****The success of our baseball program is dependent on parent/guardian participation so please consider helping!  We are always in need of Head Coaches, Assistant coaches, or just some willing hands for a few practices (every little bit will help!)  There will be a coaches meeting in mid March to review our new practice protocol.  We are more than willing to help any new coaches get started.
