THE INFORMATION BELOW DOES NOT APPLY TO THE FALL BASEBALL SEASON

Registration: December 7, 2023 through February 18, 2024

Minors (Ages 6 to 8)    Birthdates from 5/1/15 to 4/30/18) - Intramural baseball is against other HYA teams. Coaches pitch to players in this league. No playoffs will be held. This age group will generally be for the younger or less-skilled players within the age bracket and/or those with little (or no) experience.  Season begins early April and runs through the beginning of June.
There will be one or two practices during the week on days chosen by the head coach of each team.  Practices run from 6pm to 7:30pm.  There will be one or two games during the week from 6pm to 8pm.  Some games will be held on Saturday mornings.  The Minors baseball fields are located at the Centerville Middle School along Centerville Road.

Mandatory Fund-raising Obligations: 
As in past years, we will again be offering two (2) options for fulfilling your mandatory fundraising obligation. Please note each player MUST fulfill his obligations, up to a maximum of 2 players per family. EX: A family with three (3) players need only fulfill fundraising obligations for two (2) players. Fundraising obligations may be satisfied by selecting one of the following options (per player):

1. Sell at least five (5) lottery calendars per player. Each ticket is $10.  Money is pooled together with winning numbers drawn throughout the month of May.   NOTE: You can request additional lottery calendars for sale in groups of five (5). . PLEASE NOTE HYA WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF UNSOLD LOTTERY CALENDARS. This applies also to booklets of extra calendars, if requested by the player, OR
2. Pay a $40 opt-out fee. Cash or checks are accepted. If paying by check, please make the check out to “HYA” or “Hempfield Youth Association”.

Lottery calendars will need to be picked up at a place and time to be announced in March.  If you do not pick up the lottery calendars, you will need to pay the $40 opt out fee before receiving uniforms.

Registration fee includes shirt, hat and socks.  Pants are not included, however you will have an opportunity to purchase pants at the beginning of the season.

NOTE: Space is limited so registration can close early depending on participation.  Please don't wait until the last minute to register!


The success of our baseball program is dependent on parent/guardian participation so please consider helping!  We are always in need of Head Coaches, Assistant coaches, or just some willing hands for a few practices (every little bit will help!)  There will be a coaches meeting in mid March to review our new practice protocol.  We are more than willing to help any new coaches get started.
